Restart FieraMesse

With the decree of 9 June issued by Governor Arno Kompatscher, the legal basis was created for trade shows to take place again in compliance with specific safety protocols. On the basis of this decision, Bolzano Exhibition Centre looks forward to the trade show calendar in autumn with fundamental optimism. Trade shows are an important economic motor and as such contribute significantly to the revival of the economy.

After four cancelled trade shows in spring and the corresponding negative economic effects not only on the Bolzano Exhibition Centre itself, but also on trade show service providers, the hotel and catering industry and other economic sectors directly and indirectly connected with the trade show, intensive work is now being done on the upcoming trade show calendar in autumn.

Bolzano Exhibition Centre welcomes the new start with joy and confidence, in the knowledge that the safety and health of exhibitors and visitors is more important than ever. For this reason, a safety protocol based on international standards has been developed and is currently being coordinated with the relevant local authorities to ensure that the necessary hygiene and distance rules and all other protective measures for exhibitors, visitors and all internal and external staff working at the fair can be observed.

"Trade shows are an important motor for the economy. A restart of the trade shows in autumn will not only generate an important impulse for the companies and service providers involved in the trade shows, but should also act as a boost for the economic situation in South Tyrol", says the President of Bolzano Exhibition Centre, Armin Hilpold. "We are already actively exchanging information with important partners and exhibitors and we will release the definitive trade shows calendar for the autumn together with them in the coming weeks".

In the last months, the time was used intensively to develop new and innovative digital event formats. To date, six digital events have been held, reaching over 5,000 people. Further digital events are already in preparation and soon a small production studio will be opened at the headquarters of the Bolzano Exhibition Center to be able to carry out these digital events in an even more professional way. The production studio, which is suitable for the recording of simple webinars as well as for more complex conferences or digital panel discussions, will also be available to external partners and companies for their own formats.

"On the one hand, the crisis has shown us that personal contacts are essential, especially when initiating new business contacts, and that nothing can replace them", says Armin Hilpold. "On the other hand, we have also learned a lot for our future trade shows through our digital event formats. We are convinced that in the future those formats will win, which skillfully combine the advantages of the real world with the advantages of the digital world".
