Professor Luigi Sartori

  • He was a founding member of the Italian Association for Agronomic and Conservative Soil Management (A.I.G.A.CO.S) (1999).
    Director of the Interuniversity Research Centre for Precision Agriculture (C.I.R.A.P.) (2005–2011). Member of the Working Group for the Development of Precision Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture (2015–2018).
  • President of the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (2018–2021). President of the third section “Agricultural Mechanization” of the Italian Society of Agricultural Engineering (AIIA) (2022–2025). Corresponding Academician of the Accademia dei Georgofili (2026–). Author of over 250 national and international publications, including 110 Scopus-indexed papers with 2,900 citations and an H-index of 30.
  • He has been and is the scientific coordinator of regional, national, and European projects, including the PNRR-Agritech research program (National Centres – Spoke 4), addressing topics related to agricultural mechanization, technologies for conservative soil management, seeding and crop protection machinery, as well as technologies for precision and digital agriculture.
