Egon Heiss, born in the picturesque Sarentino Valley, ranks among South Tyrol’s most innovative chefs. As the head of the gourmet restaurant Prezioso at the five-star Castel Fragsburg in Merano, he has earned both a Michelin star and the prestigious Green Star for sustainability. His philosophy is all about “the perfection of simplicity”: a few carefully chosen ingredients, elevated through refined, modern interpretations of traditional recipes.
