Bauer Willi

Dr. Willi Kremer-Schillings was born in Rommerskirchen (Rhineland) in 1954. He studied agriculture at the University of Bonn and received his doctorate in 1981 with a subject in the field of crop production.

His professional career started at Schering AG in Düsseldorf. From 1990 to 2014 Kremer-Schillings worked for the Pfeifer & Langen company. Among other things, he was head of the agricultural department and later took care of the agricultural commodity markets. Kremer-Schillings is deputy chairman of the board of the Buir-Bliesheimer agricultural cooperative.

He has been retired since 2014 and writes for his blog "bauerwilli.com". He became known to a wider public through his letter "Dear Consumer", which brought him to the media. In 2016, Piper Verlag published its book “Sauerei!”, in which the author communicates his view of today's agriculture to citizens and consumers.

Kremer-Schillings manages his 40-hectare Steinbrückerhof farm in Rommerskirchen as a sideline and in cooperation with a colleague.
