Christian Hamerle


Born in Vienna, Christian Hamerle has been active in the food-service industry for over 25 years, working among others for Sarah Wiener and the Markthalle Neun covered market in Berlin. There he also managed the DATA KITCHEN: a digitized bistronomy concept, in the development of which he was significantly involved and which was named the most innovative gastronomic concept in Germany in 2017.

Since October 2020, Christian Hamerle has been Head of Food Service Innovation at Dussmann Service Deutschland GmbH. The goal of this in-house start-up: to rethink the future of catering and seamlessly digitize it from farm to plate. The central project: a sector-specific Food Service Intelligence Platform that enables greater economic sustainability while further improving quality. In a second step, the "Food Service Innovation Lab" is also intended to become a publicly accessible competence center for all foodies.
