Calchèra San Giorgio Research and Formulation Center studies and produces specialist materials for restoration of historic monuments, archaeological sites and for sustainable building, according to project requirements, historic building techniques and local traditional materials. The raw materials used are natural and pure, and every product undergoes a specific production control and meets CE marking certification. The fields of application of our materials extend to: Eco-sustainable and bio-compatible plasters and finishes of every type and tradition; specific plasters for restoration of masonries with rising damp damage; breathable levelling mortars for preparation of bases; thin layer mortar of natural color for restoration of pieces of plaster missing; injection grouting for structural consolidation; light injection grouting for the process of reattaching damaged sections of frescoes, paintings and plasters; formulation of any material required for the restoration of whichever masonry work is carried out in full compliance with the Tradition and the Rule of Art. Our services: We offer both project consultancy and on-site advice. We work alongside professionals involved in the restoration of historic buildings, monuments, decorated surfaces, frescoes and green building projects in identifying the most suitable application solutions for the specific site through the use of similar and compatible materials, formulating suitable ad-hoc materials to best meet the design needs. We also support the construction supervision, superintendencies and operators engaged in artistic and archaeological restoration works, building restoration and green building through careful assistance to the construction site, aimed at the maximum combination of project and execution of the restoration work, to offer an accurate response to the design requests in place and maximum effectiveness in the results. Moreover, we conduct cognitive analysis, preliminary investigations and laboratory tests using appropriate methods and updated analysis protocols, in accordance with the European regulations in force, through a network of authorized laboratories and universities.
