Quill embroidery is a traditional craft from the Alpine region. In the middle of the South Tyrolean Dolomites in Braies is the workshop of Georg Patzleiner. Here, a wide variety of products made of quality leather are created. The embroidery is created in small steps: Alternately, a hole is pierced into the genuine leather with the awl and a keel of peacock feather is pulled through. After many repetitions, piece by piece a typical product of quill embroidery is created. In addition to traditional traditional belts, other products such as wallets, handbags, trouser belts, key rings or various accessories for waiters and the catering industry are also made.
