Alpitec China, specialized trade show on mountain and winter technology and only meeting point of the companies of the winter industry, will be accompanied by the Ski Service Professionals Courses, a program of workshops targeted towards the operators of the winter sector in China.
Alpitec China 2012 enriched its offer for operators of the sector once more, by adding to the Ski Service Professionals Courses the event "South Tyrol - Alpine Rescue Performance". In collaboration with the AVS (South Tyrolean Alpine Club), the tecnology park TIS Cluster alpine security and the Export Organisation South Tyrol (EOS), Alpitec China offered insigths in rescue practices and slope security to its visitors.
At the entrance of Hall 1 of the CNCC a 4-seater chairlift of the company Doppelmayr has been hanged on the ceiling and a professional slope rescue team show several time a day how to evacuate clients/skiers that are trapped on the lift, by letting them down on a rope to the floor.
The aim of the project is to rise the awareness of this particluar security issue and offer practical solutions - beside looking at the techniques, the visitors are also allowed to ask questions and explanations, and to get additional informations.
The 2010 and 2011 editions of Alpitec China have been accompanied by this practice-related Ski Service Professionals Course informational event on preparation and maintenance of skis and snowboards for operators of ski service centers and rentals. The course met great approval by the ski area operators from all over China and was organized together with the Italian Association of Ski Service Personnel and ISPO Beijing.
In 2010 and 2011, more than 80 operators attended this specialized and first of its kind workshop program and got useful information and insights on mantainance and preparation techniques for winter sport equipment.
