Alpitec - The spotlight on the Winter sport Industry

The Bolzano / Bozen Exhibition Center is situated in the heart of South Tyrol, located in the middle of the Italian Alps in the very north of Italy. This region has a high concentration of the world’s best ski resorts and the province around Bolzano lives of tourism, especially of winter tourism. The numbers of our winter industry speak clearly:
South Tyrol counts 30 Ski resorts, 1.095 km slopes, 95% of which are equipped with artificial snow making system, 376 ropeways and lifts and 2.3 million winter tourists with more then 11 million overnight stays.

The Bolzano exhibition Center has therefore high competences in the organization of specialized trade shows in the field of winter sports like Alpitec and  Prowinter. The goal of the double trade show Alpitec / Prowinter is to provide a 360 degree coverage of the winter sports sector. With Alpitec the offering of Prowinter is enriched every two years by infrastructures and equipment for ski resorts. In 2012, 112 exhibitors from 11 countries took advantage of this showcase and presented their products to a public of 9.300 visitors involved in the industry.

Alpitec has confirmed the successful timing of the event in April which, after the conclusion of the winter season, offers companies an excellent opportunity to present new additions for the next season to visitors from the sector. From Wednesday through Friday, orders will be transacted and sector-specific information will be collected for the upcoming winter season.

The next edition of Alpitec will take place in spring 2014!
